Owners of Samsung smartphones will have access to the full album before it goes on sale. Samsung bought a million copies at $5 each. Therefore, Jay doesn’t even have to release a single or do a promotional run. Prince did something similar earlier this year at SXSW. He did a private show that only Samsung users had access to attend. This is huge in terms of cross marketing! It likely will become a trend for music artists to pair with major mobile brands, making their albums and shows readily accessible.
