Tonight was an anomaly in the world of basketball. Since the beginning of the season, the Nuggets have looked like the landslide benefactor of the trade that brought Carmelo Anthony to Madison Square Garden. They have 1 of the deepest benches in the league and Gallo has bested Melo in terms of shooting percentage, beyond the arc, and the stripe. The Nuggets have the better record and are playing like such a cohesive unit. While the Knicks are in complete disarray; aside from their newest PG, Jeremy Lin.
He started out the year on the roster, but then was sent down to the D-League when rookie Iman Shumpert started to show some promise. The Knicks assigned him to the Erie Bayhawks and in 1 game, he posted a triple-double. They brought him back just in time to continue his hot streak. Check out footage of that performance from the 1/20 game
Playing the Utah Jazz at home, Jeremy Lin had his 2nd start at the point guard position. In 45 minutes, Lin shot 10/17 with 28 points and 8 assists. He had incredible passes to connect with Tyson Chandler and 3-point specialist Steve Novak. Lin is extremely quick on the fast break and show that he sees the floor like a veteran. He’s the type of guard the Knicks need to revitalize and refocus the team. Clearly, Dolan has no intent on firing for D’Antoni. So for now, the Asian Persuasion Jeremy Lin is our hope.
